A new paper on the evaluation of RUSLE in Finland

A new paper from our Finnish colleagues from LUKE partially funded by the SCALE project has recently been published. The paper is entitled “Evaluation of RUSLE and spatial assessment of agricultural soil erosion in Finland”, and demonstrates the use of the RUSLE model for country-wide erosion prediction of agricultural soils in Finland. The results help improve the understanding of the spatial distribution of erosion e.g. by highlighting erosion hotspots near to water bodies. This in turn provides better management options for engaging targeted mitigation measures.
