Deliverable WP4-D5

The deliverable WP4-D5 “Stepwise tutorial for USLE approach with different dataset qualities and scales” demonstrates the effect of different datasets and parameter calculation methods, by analysing two specific modelling parameters in the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and its derivatives, i.e. the rainfall erosivity factor (R-factor) and the soil erodibility factor (K-factor). The Hydrological Open Air Laboratory (HOAL) Petzenkirchen catchment in Austria was used as the study site. Both the R-factor and the K-factor were modelled using a large-scale dataset and a local catchment dataset and by applying different parameter calculation equations.
